Approaches to Practice
The following section describes concepts through which teachers can facilitate active musical doing. The approaches to practice can be summarized in three phases:
- Phase 1: the communication of knowledge, formally characterized.
- Phase 2: application of knowledge, problem-orientated learning.
- Phase 3: increasing self-management, informal learning.
