Participation
The term "participation" contains several ideas. All of them embrace the condition that everybody should be involved regardless of someone’s musical ability (see also Music Making):
- Access: everybody regardless of his or her milieu (for example, migrants, disabled, or elders) should have the opportunity to participate.
- Democratic, integrative element: codetermination in goals and their realization. Also the consequences of the decisions are devolved to the participants.
- Participation as a concept is open for the ideas of inclusion and empowerment.
Its goal is to foster the decision-making and planning ability.
